As usual, it's been a busy fall, featuring, school, birthdays, our first trip to the Elyria Apple Festival, and much more.
Rose turned 7 in November. She continues to enjoy first grade. She says her favorite subject is math, but she loves reading as well. Rose got a sketchpad and artist's set for her birthday, and is doing very well at drawing, especially when she follows along with her favorite YouTube channel. She finished third in her age group in the National Slovak Society poetry contest. Rose recently joined Daisies, so we're experiencing cookie sale season for the first time.
Jacob turned 5 in December. Our energetic and emotional boy enjoys helping Mommy with her duties at preschool. He also loves to cook and bake, so you'll always find us with cookies, brownies, and pancakes in the house now. Jacob recently had his 5-year checkup and, not surprisingly, he's in the 95th percentile for both height and weight. He also took his kindergarten booster shots like a champ! (Perhaps because we warned him ahead of time, instead of surprising him like we did with the flu shot. The Rink Pop and Frosty probably helped too.)
Happy New Year everyone!
